Mrs. Hughes' passion rest between nursing and public health! As a means of merging her two obsessions, she created IMPACT, a business dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults through providing a voice of advocacy and empowerment for the community on health related issues. She loves positively motivating change in her community through education and the promotion of healthy, toxic-free living in all areas of life. She specializes in educating the community on the business of healthcare, healthcare policy, safe navigation of the healthcare system, and the use of natural remedies for healing in pediatric patients and their families. I provide individualized & general consulting services.

The Impactful Nurse blog aims to be a resource for the community. Through the blog, C. Hughes talks about everything related to the business of healthcare and healthcare policy, especially child health policy, and how those topics integrate into a healthy lifestyle, nursing, and public health . Education is key! If we are informed about the healthcare system, we will better navigate through the broken and misleading American healthcare system. Equally as important, we can teach our children how to advocate for themselves in front of healthcare providers.

The goal is to not only make her clients and readers think about health, wellness, and the environment in a different way but to provide the tools necessary to execute the change she aspires to elicit. Throughout The Impactful Nurse you will find articles and stories of inspiration, motivation, and education for daily life or to make you think about health and wellness in a societal perspective.
